There is a new story out in the news about the recent research study and project, which states that one in three cases of ADHD has been linked to smoke and or lead. Well that is unfortunate indeed, especially for those who smoke and have kids and who may live near freeways, railroad tracks or factories.
Pretty upsetting and they never knew it would happen. Of course pregnant mothers should never smoke and obviously they should know better than that. Also they should not drink caffeine either, but I see them at the local Starbucks each week without regard for their future offsprings life.
This study seems to indicate that even low levels of smoke can lead to ADHD. The research also indicates that after birth that low levels of lead can lead to major risk of ADHD. Well lets see here; in Washington DC they have lead in the pipes and it is a major problem. We know there is also an outrageous amount of crime there too.
The worse thing about all this is that all the offspring of the government leaders who will be growing up and perhaps stay in those influential circles maybe running our nation too? Oh my Gosh, that is a scary thought indeed. So, please consider this in 2006 and get the lead out.
