Attention deficit disorder (ADD), also called attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), is a condition that exhibits symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. Symptoms of ADD are also seen in many "normal" children, but at a low level; hence, it is important that the child receive a thorough examination by a professional psychologist or physician. Medications combined with behavioral and cognitive therapies are normally used to cure ADD symptoms.
